UVA Today’s Give Where You Live story kicks off the University’s partnership with United Way of Greater Charlottesville—and it points readers toward Autism Sanctuary as one of the local organizations you can support.
Starting September 16 (United Way’s Laurence E. Richardson Day of Caring) through December 18, UVA employees can pledge to participating nonprofits through payroll deduction or by card. The campaign backs roughly 100 local groups across food security, education, health, and community care.
Autism Sanctuary is proud to be part of that circle. Gifts help us keep farm-based day support going for adults with autism and related developmental disabilities—and move closer to the activity barn that will let us serve more people on our waitlist.
If you’re a Hoo, watch for Give Where You Live pledging options this fall. Anyone can also donate directly or explore careers & volunteer opportunities. The day after that UVA Today piece ran, they published a full profile of our farm—Featured in UVA Today!
